#Porto: Trás-os-Montes & Douro Sparkling Wine Experience

The morning begins at your Porto accommodation as you set off northeast in the direction of the region of Tras-os-Montes, producer of robust wines with strong personality and fine olive oils. The first stop will be at Vidago, where you find a palace with centuries-worth of traditions - Vidago Palace.

Next, visit a Wine Estate which produces some delicious Trás-os-Montes wines. It is a family owned estate where you will be welcomed by the owner who will show you his winery, vineyards, fruit trees and provide a marvellous regional lunch.

Once our stomachs are happy we'll start our descent in the direction of a very famous house - Casa de Mateus - the one that gave the best-selling Portuguese wine in the world his name, Mateus. Visit the estate, as well as the manor, a work attributed to the visionary architect Nicolau Nasoni.

The next and final destination is another estate, now in the Douro region, where a distinct product is developed - Douro DOC Sparkling Wine. You will visit their winery and emblematic estate where the same family has lived for the last 300 years. Then you will taste the wines alongside a selection of delicacies from the region.

Return to Porto in comfort, with the ease of round-trip transfer service, where you may be dropped off at any place in Porto that you prefer or be transferred back to your accommodation.
